Founded by a pharmacist and functional medicine practitioner, BMW Pharmacy was born out of a desire to elevate the standard pharmacy experience—where patient safety, deep expertise, and human connection come first.

Meet the Founder and Pharmacist

Dr. Brianne Marie Weiss, PharmD

Founder | Pharmacist | Functional Medicine Practitioner

My journey into medicine began when I was just 11 years old and diagnosed with an autoimmune condition called ITP. That early experience sparked a passion to understand the body—and to help others navigate their own health challenges with compassion and clarity.

I started working as a pharmacy technician in high school, and though my path to becoming a pharmacist wasn’t easy, I never let closed doors stop me. After earning a Bachelor of Science from the University of Connecticut, I entered the world of pharmaceutical sales. But the dream of direct patient care never faded. I retook every prerequisite, achieved a 4.0 GPA, and was finally accepted to Touro College of Pharmacy, where I earned my Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD).

After graduation, I worked in various retail pharmacy settings—but what I witnessed deeply troubled me. I saw a healthcare system where volume mattered more than safety, and patients were often treated like numbers. When I reported daily dispensing errors at a major chain pharmacy, I was fired—a consequence that became a turning point.

I knew I had to build something better.

That’s when BMW Pharmacy was born.

Today, as a Pharmacist and Functional Medicine Practitioner, I bring together science, personal experience, and a relentless commitment to patient-centered care. My mission is simple but powerful: to put people—not profit—at the center of healthcare again. At BMW Pharmacy, safety, service, and true healing come first.
